Baby's First Christmas

What are the odds!! Caden's first Christmas was a WHITE CHRISTMAS! Ah, ya gotta love Texas. It was a blizzard almost all day on Christmas Eve. And then Christmas day was as absolutely gorgeous day. Caden wasn't sure about all the white and the bitter cold. She kept gasping while we were outside (for a total of 5 minutes). But, doesn't she look adorable in her fur coat!
She was so excited and curious about opening her presents. Of course, until the present was completely unwrapped, all she wanted to do was eat the wrapping paper. We should have just wrapped a bunch of empty boxes, hours of fun.

On Christmas day, we spent the morning at home. We were snowed in and couldn't drive down the driveway. Later that day, we went over to Jon's mom's house and had Christmas with her side of the family. It was very nice to be able to see everyone.

We had Christmas with members of my extended family on the Monday following Christmas. Thank you so much to Sonny and Virginia, Tuggie and Sonney, and Joanne (Aunt JJ) for travelling so far to be here for Christmas. We so enjoyed seeing all of you!

Happy Holidays to everyone! We hope that everyone has a very blessed season and a joyous New Year!

First Cereal

Caden is growing quick! She wasn't too sure about eating cereal at first, but she has gotten so good at it now. I have also gotten better at feeding her. Its hard to feed a moving target.

Our First Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was absolutely wonderful. We were able to have an early Thanksgiving on Wednesday with my Grandmother Loise, G-pa and Cici, Laura, Joe, and Connor. Then on Thanksgiving day, we went to Susan's house and had dinner with her family. On Friday, Jon, Caden and I drove to Waco to visit Jon's dad and his family. Boy were we tired at the end of the week! Much love to everyone.

4 Months

Caden is already 4 months old!! Everything was very good at her last doctor's appointment. She now measures 25 inches long and weighs 13 lbs. 8.5 oz.

Caden is still sleeping through the night. We are so lucky that she loves her sleep. For about a week, her sleep schedule was a little weird. She wouldn't go to bed until about midnight and would wake up around 7:00 am. But, now she is back on schedule. I think she was going through a growth spurt.

Caden has become a pro at rolling over from her back to her stomach. Often, as soon as I put her on the floor on her back, she immediately rolls to her tummy. When I filmed her rolling over, I had to hold her down while I got the camera ready! She hasn't mastered rolling from her tummy to her back yet. She's only done this a couple times.

Caden has also gotten really good with her hands. She reaches for everything. Anything she grabs has to first be given a good look over and then must be inspected by her mouth, even her toes!

Silly Duo

After her nap each day, Caden and I play on a mat in her room. She is always in such a happy mood when she wakes from her nap. On this day in particular, Jon came in and Caden and I just happened to both be laying the same way. He thought that was pretty funny.

Bath Time

Caden loves bath time a whole lot more now than she did when she was a newborn. Although, it has become difficult on my part because she squirms throughout the entire bath. She doesn't want to stay on her back during the bath. Instead, she would rather be on her stomach. She tries her hardest to end up that way, but hasn't prevailed, yet.

Trick or Treat
